The original Swedish Bitters Maria Treben's mix is a composition of 11 herbs:
Wormwood herb (Artemisa absinthium) – It improves the function of the gastrointestinal tract. It can help with gastritis, diseases of the bladder, liver, kidneys. It helps with insomnia, rheumatism, headaches, diarrhea, colitis. It can also helps with bad breath.

How to make Swedish Bitters ticture:
Place the dry herbal Swedish Bitters content into a glass container and pour 1.5 liters (50 fluid ounce) of vodka with 38% to 40% alcohol.
Store it for 2 weeks in warm (25C) and dark place. Shake or stir the Swedish Bitters Mix content daily. Once Swedish Bitters tincture is ready, strain it, pour into dark bottle and store in the refrigerator. Drink 1 teaspoon (diluted in a glass of water or tea) 2-3 times a day.
