Mugworth (Artemesia vulgaris) Dried Herb | Biokoma

Mugwort (known also as Wormwood) contains volatile oil, flavonoids, a sesquiterpene lactone, coumarin derivatives and triterpenes. It is recommended for people who want to cleanse the body. When added to the bath, it relieves the effects of rheumatic disease and its intense aroma has a relaxing effect. It is used for a gastric disorder, stomach pain, and bowel complaints. It is used for poor appetite, indigestion, travel sickness and stomach acidity.

Mugwort has many medicinal properties such as stimulant, antibacterial, purgative, anthelmintic, nervine, antiinflammatory, hemostatic, antiseptic, expectorant, antispasmodic, emmenagogue, carminative, digestive, diaphoretic, and cholagogue properties.

Preparation and dosage:
One teaspoon pour the glass of boiling water and leave under a cover for approx. 10-15 minutes until it infuses. Drink 1-2 times a day.
It should not be used by lactating women as this herb can pass through milk to the infant.
